Mike Carlin
Chief Executive Officer

Mike was responsible for founding Map Group (uk) Ltd (formerly Map Electrics Ltd) in 1993 and in combination with the Senior Management team that he rapidly put together, has helped drive the business from start-up to its current position as one of the UK's fastest growing and most innovative Independent providers of Professional Technology Services to the Communications Sector.  Under Mike's leadership the company has gone from strength-to-strength since 1993 and now has a turnover in excess of £30m p.a and over 600 employees working across a base of clients throughout the UK.

David Percival
BA (Hons) ACA CTA
Financial Director

David joined the company in 2006 as Financial Controller and was appointed to the Board in July 2008. A chartered account and chartered tax advisor by profession, David worked in practice for five years for Jennings Johnson and then Ernst & Young in a variety of audit, accounting and tax roles. He moved into industry in 2001 working for VA Tech/Siemens in their transmission and distribution division, in a variety of financial positions.

Andy Long 
Director of Operations

Andy has been in the Commuications industry since 1993 and has held various operational roles.  He joined MAP Group (uk) in 1999 as an Operations Manager where he managed teams of engineers installing communication services to business and consumers.   Andy moved in to a Regional Managers role in 2004 and  has contributed significantly to the successful growth of MAP Group (uk), where he has created a strong ethos of 'Customer Focus' and 'Quality' within our engineering teams.  In July 2008 Andy was appointed into the role of Director of Operations and joined the Board in the same month.  

Peter Birks
Network Solutions - Director

Peter joined Map Group (uk) in December 2008 as the Network Solutions Director.  His remit is to build on the established Network Solutions division by providing network and communication solutions for Core, Metro and Edge infrastructures, designed to meet the needs of today's Fixed and Wireless Network Operators and Internet Service Providers.

Peter has over 20 years experience in the Communications sector, where he has held various senior management positions in the technology and engineering areas.  He started his career with GEC Telecommunications (later GPT), as a systems engineer.  In 1994 he moved into the UK Cable industry where he spent 14 years in numerous operational positions, which included Director of Technical Development and Validation, responsible for the development and introduction of all Virgin Media products and IT systems.
