Modern Slavery Statement for Map Group UK for the Financial Year ending 4th April 2019

This annual Statement is made in pursuant to section 54 of the Modern slavery Act 2015

MAP Group (UK) is one of the leading independent providers of professional technology services to the UK communications sector, including network operators, service providers, equipment vendors, utility providers, government and public bodies and private enterprises.

We employ over 500 highly skilled engineers providing a wide range of knowledge and technical expertise, operating across the UK from 10 regional offices. We currently do not have any over seas employees

We are a multi-functional organisation employing a wide range of highly skilled and qualified personnel, to meet the high standards set by Telecoms industry, at the same time considering our environmental and humanitarian responsibilities

Our Supply Chains

Most of our products are sourced from reputable UK based suppliers who are compliant with employment law. The Internationally based Company’s we work with have been risk assessed and we are satisfied that they also have a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking statements. We have written to all our suppliers and contractors to seek their confirmation in writing that they conform with the Act.

To ensure that this position continues all new contracts and any being renewed will include a clause requiring that all suppliers and contractors their contractors and suppliers and sub- contractors comply with the Modern Slavery Act. The contract also includes a condition giving Map Group (UK) Limited the right to terminate the contract in the instance of any breach of this obligation.

Risk Assessment and Staff Training.

Map Group UK is in full support of the Modern Slavery Act and will support it fully as part of the Human Right Act.  If the need arises we will risk assess our suppliers as needed.

Map Group UK will also ensure that our HR department are fully aware of Maps’ responsibilities in relation to our employees .
