Job ID Business Apprentice

MAP Group (UK) is currently seeking Business Apprentices to initially undertake general office duties across various teams – the successful applicant will also coordinate activities and provide administrative support to the wider company. They will also be given the opportunity to specialise and gain further skills within their chosen function.

The successful candidates will receive full on the job training, whilst they work towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification with the prospect of progressing to Level 5 or pursuing further training.

The candidate should be organised with a keen eye for detail and the ability to own the work they are given.

General administrative duties include:

  • Implementing and maintaining filing and record keeping systems
  • Daily communication around resourcing requirements, training, performance etc.
  • Responsibility for billing and calculating wages of employees against the rate card and work reported as complete.
  • Responsibility for co-coordinating / assist with coordinating resource.
  • Acting as a link between fibre engineers and Head Office.
  • Data input and management
  • Raising notices or other documentary requirements
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and direct/action as appropriate.
  • Taking responsibility for the recording of complaints and their appropriate escalation.
  • Screen all enquiry emails and direct/action as appropriate
  • Photocopying, emailing, and filing of company documents.
  • Arranging Zoom, conference calls and internal meetings.
  • Reporting when required

Personal Profile:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good English and numeracy skills, and computer literacy
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Good organisation skills
You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple areas of the business including noticing, streetworks, programming, procurement and HR. Once you have completed your Level 3 you may continue additional training and specialisation.
