Job ID Regional Manager OR
Regional Managers are responsible for ensuring that all regulations are adhered to, network quality is achieved, risks managed, budgets are followed, projects run on time, Health & Safety is adhered to, local/public relationships are maintained and that build times and KPIs are optimised with time targets met.
Regional Managers report into Senior Operations Managers and are responsible for teams of Fibre Engineers, Civils Supervisors and/or Cabling Supervisors.
Required:
- Experience of fibre-based telecommunications – FTTH, FTTx
- Thorough understanding of NRSWA
- Good understanding of PIA engineering principles
- Understanding and experience with Civils, including the management of noticing, trenching, and reinstatement works
- Reporting and auditing capabilities, with a completer-finisher mindset and attention to detail
- Good understanding of project management principles, including planning
- Ability to adopt a tactical approach to maintain progress to plan, without losing sight of the core mission
- Great communication and influencing skills
- Strong network build management background and a solid understanding of engineering principles
- Good IT skills – self-sufficient in MS Office Suite, with ability to learn other technical packages and in HSE systems
Desirable:
- 3 – 5 years demonstrable fibre project delivery management experience
- Strong team and matrix management experience with remote / field-based staff, able to motivate your team and third-party partners
- Experienced managing Build Assurance Engineers/Delivery Managers/Team Leaders/Fibre Engineers
- Familiarity with contracts and performance management of same
- Experience managing escalations and prioritising resolution, without impacting on the overall works program
- Experience liaising with local authorities in works applications, audit, and rectification
