Job ID Residential Installs - Team Leader

MAP Group (UK) is currently seeking Residential Installation Team Manager to support and be responsible for the installation of residential broadband and telephony services to our customers in accordance with our required standards and targets. As this is a customer facing role you must be able to demonstrate excellent levels of customer experience as well a good understanding of meeting customer needs. Good communication and interaction skills will be essential.

You will be responsible for teams delivering the fibre connectivity element of a Fibre-to-the-Home network deployment project. This is a crucial role providing and maintaining a fibre network for both the use of business and residential customers.

Your teams will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating, testing and installing both legacy and new fibre networks
  • Liaising with other teams to ensure that both the internal and external customers experience a seamless connection
  • Ensuring that site operations are carried out to a high standard within contractual specification, to the relevant specification and within quality, health, safety, environmental and NRSWA guidelines and regulations
  • Ensuring all customer documentation is completed and checked in accordance with client requirements
  • Installing, testing and splicing fibre optic cables within existing infrastructure
  • Making sure that all site-specific risk assessments are in place

You will be responsible for the running of these teams and providing day to day hands on support in a supervisory capacity.

It is important that you have previous experience in fibre optic installation and OTDR, OILM testing and splicing as well as in managing teams. You will also need:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with members of the public and other interested stakeholders
  • NRSWA/Highways Experience
  • NRSWA Certification minimal level Unit 2
  • Working at heights accreditation
  • Competent using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Full clean driving licence

Dependent on the route and length of time to complete allocated daily jobs we will require a level of flexibility around the working hours and the area that you will be required to work in.
